Spencer turned 18 months (15 months corrected) on Dec 7.
He weighs in at 21 lbs and 30 inches tall (which puts him at 5% on the growth charts for weight and 7% for height). Of course he is on the low end of his percentiles, but what was exciting was that he is actually on the 'normal' growth charts for 18 months, instead of the preemie charts!
When I was filling out the 18 month assessment at the doctor office, it was asking things like:
Does he say any words? (Papa, Bye bye, car noises)
Does he point to things he wants with his finger? (Yes)
Does he show you when he is unhappy? (YES!)
Does he climb stairs? (sigh.....yes)
Does he like to sing and dance? (Yes =) )
It was fun to sit and realize that these things he is doing (which are actually exhausting to the parent) are milestones for him.
He is FULL of personality and continues to want to do whatever big brother is doing. There is lots of chasing, rolling, wrestling, laughing and tantrums.
He also really likes hats. It's funny. He smiles really big when he sees us wearing a hat, and also really enjoys putting them on himself.
He is such a happy blessing, and we are thankful.
