In January, the three of us went to visit my sister and her family in Pennsylvania. It was just as cold in PA as it has been in Nebraska, but we made the best of it. The cousins, ages 2,4,6, and 9 had a great time running around the house causing chaos. Carter was entertained by all the 'big kid' toys and Audra (4) was equally enthralled to have Carter to attempt to 'boss around.'
The adults did a lot of sitting around, cooking and eating - a true vacation.
When we did head out into the elements, we had some fun going to the local YMCA where everybody did some swimming. We also checked out the local children's museum. I am sure Matt would tell you one of his highlights was grabbing a Chik-Fil-A chocolate milkshake at every possible chance. Our only disappointment was that they were closed on Sunday when we were heading back home.
It's always so fun to the see the Troyers - because there is nothing like seeing your children playing with your sister's children, and because I always love seeing my sister! It never happens as much as we would like.
