Halloween 2015

With the last minute change in plans regarding Carter's cast, we had to reinvent the Halloween costumes a bit. Originally, Carter wanted to be James, one of the trains on Thomas the Train. So, we decided to make the wagon James, and Carter got to be the train conductor. He was such a good sport about the whole thing and never once complained. He loved riding in the train and when we stopped at houses, Matt would carry him to the door.

Spencer got to be a turtle - a hand-me-down costume from Carter's younger days. He looked adorable and was totally unaware of the shell on his back. He hasn't been able to practice his walking outside very much since it has gotten cold, so he thoroughly enjoyed walking the sidewalk from one neighbor's house to the next. He is pretty much an accident waiting to happen with his unstable walking, but luckily we avoided any major falls.

We just trick-or-treated down our block to see our favorite neighbors. Then we headed home and passed out candy the rest of the night. Carter LOVED it. Our neighborhood is great for Halloween - we had about 200 kids this year, and he loved giving each one a piece of candy and checking out their costume. The kids came in droves at some points, and you could hear Carter saying, "One at a time please. I can only handle one of you at a time."
