Spencer had a good checkup at 10 months and weighs in at 15 lbs 2 oz. He has been rapidly doing new things the last few weeks and it has been SO MUCH FUN. He now sits on his own, rolls all over the place and is working really hard at learning how to crawl. (Thankfully) He is not there yet. He gets up on all fours and rocks a little bit. But ultimately, he pushes his legs straight out and ends up scooting backwards. Its funny because he ends up moving backwards, farther away from all the toys he is trying to reach, which makes him very mad.
We are making some progress with the baby food. At first, he was not interested in eating much of anything. But over the last two weeks, he has gotten much better at eating all sorts of things and the pincher fingers are getting very good and picking up Cheerios. He also cut his bottom two teeth so he has a new look about him.
Carter continues to be a really good big brother. For the most part, they get along really good and have a few tender "brotherly" moments each day. His vocabulary is amazing and we constantly marvel at the things he is saying and enjoy watching his little brain create and imagine. He started doing something really funny - he has a particular outfit (down to the underwear) that he enjoys wearing. Recently he has started asking to wear it multiple days in a row. Sound familiar? It's begun....
I continue to enjoy the simple things in our life. Health. Great spring weather. And today - we got to out to lunch together. Just the four of us for the very first time. It was really fun. Looking forward to what next month might bring!
