Family Reunion in Minnesota

Well, we managed our first long road trip with Carter. In late August, we drove to Minnesota for a small family reunion on my mom's side. It was nice to see everyone, and Carter did surprisingly well both ways in the car! We were prepared with books, toys, food and a DVD player. Five years ago we probably said we wouldn't be THOSE people, who had their child watch DVDs in the car....but then we had a child...and then we changed our mind. Quietness at all costs. =)

We stayed with my aunt and uncle, who just happened to be doing some landscaping that required a bobcat and digger - Carter was in heaven!

Carter also got to ride in a boat for the first time and he really enjoyed it!
