In order to get there, we drove three hours to Kansas City to catch a direct flight to Atlanta, Georgia. From there, we drove two hours to our rental property outside of Greenville. We traveled with my parents, which meant there were four adults to corral one little boy.....And we stayed pretty busy! Carter got to experience lots of new things on the way - an airplane, train, bus and escalator ride. He loved them all, especially the escalator.
We were nervous first-time parents that wondered if our child would scream the entire two-hour flight. But, the flight (both ways) conveniently occurred during nap time, so, with the help of a little Benadryl, Carter slept beautifully on both flights =)
Crystal and John got married near Greenville, South Carolina in a beautiful old Baptist church. The reception that followed was at the clubhouse in my grandparent's retirement community. It was beautiful and the weather was gorgeous.
It was great to see all the Fullers and hang out with nearly all 34 cousins. My grandparents got to meet Carter for the first time, and my sister Kelly got to join us, which is always so much fun.
Here are a few pictures of the trip -
