For 9 months, Carter weighs in at 20 pounds, 13 ounces and 28 1/4 inches long.
Carter continues on the developmental fast-track. This month has flown by. After our trip to Colorado, Carter has been a crawling machine. Within a week or two, he started experimenting with crawling up on furniture, my legs, or whatever else is available. Now he is cruising aroung pretty well. His next step is to master standing on his own and sitting back down from a standing position.
Carter is a pretty good eater. He still loves his bottle but he is getting pretty good and using his pincher fingers to eat finger food. Recently he discovered he likes fresh strawberries and peas.
Carter is very social. He loves watching and playing with other kids. He likes to flirt, smile, laugh and talk loudly when in the highchair. He is learning that when he makes certain noises or faces he can get a reaction from people and he is really enjoying that. =)
My mom, Carter and I flew out to see my sister and her family in Pennslyvania last week. It was the first time for Carter to go on a plane and he did GREAT. He loved peeking through the seats at the people in the row behind us, putting the little tray up and down and crawling all over the place. Once we arrived, he had a great time playing with his cousins! Nathan (7), Marah (5) and Audra (nearly 3) - He had a captive audience! He got to play with all the "big kid" toys and saw several farm animals for the first time. He also went to the zoo for the first time and attended Nathan's baseball game. We had a great visit.
