Carter turned 8 months this week! He has done several new and exciting things over the last month.
First of all, we took a trip to visit Matt's family in Grand Junction Colorado. We weren't sure how Carter would do for a 12 hour car ride so we broke up the trip into two days. He ended up doing really well! He would switch back and forth between sleeping for about an hour and then playing for about an hour. In Colorado, Carter got to see all sorts of new things, cuddle with Grandma and Grandpa, and play with his cousins - Cortney and Seth. He also enjoyed playing with the puppy that was about the same size as he was.
The other exciting development this month is, of course, that Carter is crawling! It was really interesting to watch his progress as he slowly experimented with each step -
getting up on all fours
then rocking back and forth
then trying to figure out how to move his hands and knees
then navigating different surfaces
and finally getting the hang out it.
Now that he is on the move, we have been very busy trying to keep up with him!
Here are some pictures from the last month -
Are you guys seriously going to make me wear this?
